Creating Visuals Article

In a few past posts, I have discussed how image quality can be improved using MyHeritage processes: MyHeritage Photo Repair and Using MyHeritage’s Photo Improvement Processes. I continue to use these programs for almost every image I publish or include in y presentations.

In the March 2025 issue of Family Tree (UK) magazine, I will have an article titled Creating Visuals for Publication. It is based on my blog posts and on a talk I gave to Family Tree Genealogy Gadgets Club (now the Brickwalls, Skills & Solutions Club) on 6 September 2024. You can view the video of this presentation if you are a member of Family Tree Plus.

The March article starts out: I use a lot of images in my blogs, published articles and presentations. Some are photos of people. Many are diagrams, graphs or copies of documents from parish registers, books and articles or websites. All are useful in demonstrating the subject matter of my publications and talks. This article will summarize where to find images and how to manipulate or edit them to fit whatever subject is being written about or covered in a presentation.

I hope you will be able to read a copy with your own subscription or at a family history society library.
