You must have done something righ...Congratulations. You must have done something right for (y)our children to succeed and for their children to be on the cusp of doing as well.

Not all children are so fortunate. While child neglect and abuse are not the norm neither are they uncommon. Look hard enough and you’ll probably find examples in your own family tree, In mine, I’m thinking of a two-times great grandfather who left his wife before the birth of their second child. Also, not in my own family but in my old hometown, a mother convicted of mistreating her children. That was unusual in the 19th century. The children went into the care of the Board of Guardians and became Barnardo home children in Canada. A descendant became a highly respected Canadian genealogist.

If the analogy in genealogy with the doctrine of uniformity for the Earth’s geological processes to hold, it must accommodate uncommon events — Mother Nature’s Challenges. For the earth sciences, they include volcanos, tsunamis and meteor impacts. It must also accommodate the advancing Anthropocene.

We recognize the silting up of rivers can be accelerated by deforestation. the 1930s dust bowl was caused in large measure by grasslands ploughed up for agriculture being vulnerable to erosion during naturally occurring meteorological drought, and the Antarctic ozone hole resulting from manufactured CFCs. Then there’s the issue of climate change resulting in large part from burning fossil fuels.

Surely, if we’re seeing these things in the present, either they should be evident in the past or there’s an issue with the doctrine.
JDRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06471656063812824731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5971013271573879136.post-6404406941727990722022-04-10T20:08:27.114-06:002022-04-10T20:08:27.114-06:00Samuel’s daughter Sarah Ester Shepheard (1853-1932...Samuel’s daughter Sarah Ester Shepheard (1853-1932) was an artist, who exhibited the painting ‘Starved’ at the Society of Women Artists from an address in Hampstead, north London in 1875.John Waldehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060878331066822391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5971013271573879136.post-34813170259592735962022-02-26T08:50:39.935-07:002022-02-26T08:50:39.935-07:00Hello, I am related to the Shepheards of Preston C...Hello, I am related to the Shepheards of Preston Capes and my 7th Gt grandad lived at Little Preston Manor. I'm glad you have some clue with your yDNA results as mine came back with a single 37 marker match at a genetic distance of 2, which places our common ancestor back around 1500. I finally found the location my Millers originated in the marriage and death records of my great-grandfather's sisters. If their parents and and birth locations were not identified there, I'd still be stuck with "New York" and "Germany".Matthew Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17470236018203715367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5971013271573879136.post-78033132979940108542021-11-11T09:23:04.171-07:002021-11-11T09:23:04.171-07:00https://www.scotclans.com/bbc-on-the-lookout-for-c...https://www.scotclans.com/bbc-on-the-lookout-for-canadianamerican-descendants-of-the-marloch-metagama/Marilou and Josehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16880878261462756152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5971013271573879136.post-59906790575621875202021-10-31T13:08:35.546-06:002021-10-31T13:08:35.546-06:00the central bank of Egypt building at Algomhoria s...the central bank of Egypt building at Algomhoria street at Cairo was founded on the historic site of the old hotel to hide the truth for those who burnt it in 1952 .thank you so much
ezzeldin
EgyptEzzeldinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11610497456298965644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5971013271573879136.post-34042534307997302852021-10-18T15:37:35.621-06:002021-10-18T15:37:35.621-06:00This information has really helped me as I am rese...This information has really helped me as I am researching the Pearson family tree.
